ELEPHANT AND FRIENDS

One day an elephant wandered into a forest in search of friends. He saw a monkey on a
tree. “Will you be my friend?” asked the elephant. Replied the monkey, “You are too big.
You can not swing from trees like me.” Next, the elephant met a rabbit. He asked him to be
his friends. But the rabbit said, “You are too big to play in my burrow!” Then the elephant
met a frog.
“Will you be my friend? He asked.
“How can I?” asked the frog.
“You are too big to leap about like me.”
The elephant was upset. He met a fox next.
“Will you be my friend?” he asked the fox.
The fox said, “Sorry, sir, you are too big.”
The next day, the elephant saw all the animals in the forest running for their lives. The
elephant asked them what the matter was. The bear replied, “There is a tiger in the forest.
He’s trying to gobble us all up!” The animals all ran away to hide. The elephant wondered
what he could do to solve everyone in the forest. Meanwhile, the tiger kept eating up whoever
he could find. The elephant walked up to the tiger and said, “Please, Mr. Tiger, do not eat up
these poor animals.”
“Mind your own business!” growled the tiger.
The elephant has a no choice but to give the tiger a hefty kick. The frightened tiger ran for his
life. The elephant ambled back into the forest to announce the good news to everyone. All the
animals thanked the elephant. They said, “You are just the right size to be our friend.”
 GAJAH DAN TEMAN-TEMAN

Suatu hari seekor gajah mengembara ke hutan untuk mencari teman. Dia melihat monyet di
atas pohon. “Maukah kau menjadi temanku?” Tanya gajah. Jawab monyet, “Kamu terlalu
besar. Kamu tidak dapat berayun dari pohon seperti saya. ” Selanjutnya, gajah bertemu
kelinci. Dia meminta kelinci untuk menjadi temannya. Tapi kelinci itu berkata, “Kamu terlalu
besar untuk bermain di lubang saya!” Kemudian gajah bertemu kodok.
“Maukah kamu menjadi temanku? Dia bertanya.
“Bagaimana bisa?” Tanya katak. “Kamu terlalu besar untuk melompat seperti saya.
” Gajah kesal. Dia bertemu rubah berikutnya.
“Maukah kau menjadi temanku?” Tanyanya rubah.
Rubah berkata, “Maaf, Pak, Anda terlalu besar.”
Keesokan harinya, gajah melihat semua binatang di hutan berlarian keluar hutan. Gajah
bertanya kepada mereka apa yang terjadi. Beruang itu menjawab, “Ada Harimau di hutan. Dia
mencoba untuk melahap kita semua! ” Hewan-hewan semua lari bersembunyi. Gajah
bertanya-tanya apa yang bisa ia lakukan untuk memecahkan semua orang di hutan. Sementara
itu, harimau terus makan sampai siapa pun dia bisa temukan. Gajah berjalan menemui ke
harimau dan berkata, “Tolong, Tuan harimau, tidak memakan binatang yang malang.”
“Urusi bisnis kamu sendiri!”
Geram harimau. Gajah tidakmemiliki pilihan selain memberikan harimau tendangan yang
hebat dan kuat. Harimau yang ketakutan dan berlari untuk hidupnya. Gajah melenggang
kembali ke hutan untuk mengumumkan kabar baik untuk semua orang. Semua binatang
berterima kasih kepada gajah. Mereka berkata, “Kamu mempunyai ukuran yang tepat untuk
menjadi teman kita.”

Beauty and the Beast

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Beauty. She lived with her father and her sisters in
a small village.
Beauty was a beautiful girl. She was also hard-working. She always helped her father on the
farm.
One day, her father set out for the city. He saw an old castle and went in. No-one was in but
there was food on the table. Then he walked around the castle. He picked a rose from
garden for Beauty. Suddenly an angry Beast appeared. He wanted to kill Beauty’s father
unless Beauty was brought to him.
Beauty’s father told her daughters what had happened. Beauty’s sisters ordered her to see
the Beast.
Beauty went to see the Beast and had to stay at the castle. She felt scared, lonely and sad.
She tried to run away but was stopped by the Beast. The Beast treated Beauty well. Soon,
Beauty began to like the Beast.
One day, through the Beast’s magic mirror, Beauty saw that her father was sick. The Beast
allowed her to go home. Her father was happy to see her.
One night, Beauty had a dream. A fairly told her that the Beast was sick.
Beauty hurried back and saw the Beast dying. She began to cry. Tears fell onto the Beast.
Suddenly, the Beast changed into handsome prince.
Beauty and the Beast got married and lived happily ever after.

Peter Pan

Once upon a time there was a beautiful place called Neverland where Peter Pan and
Tinker Bell lived. Not so far from this place is the city of London where John, Wendy and
Michael Darling lived. They really loved the story od Pater. One day Paterpan appeared and
asked the children to fly to neverland. They were excited to see the scenery and beauty of
Neverland. Then, they were surprised to know the existence of a cruel pirate called captain
Hook. One day captain Hook captured Tinker Bell and forced her to show Peter Pan’s place.
In doing so all Peter’s friends, the Darlings were capture and taken to the pirute ship. Captain
Hook frightened the children by putting them on the plank.
Suddenly, Peter Pan appeared an stopped everything. In a fierce duel, he threw Hook
and all the pirates overboard. Hook was chased away by the crocodile, and nobody cared to
save him. The Darling were so happy and thankful to Peter Pan. They told Peter their
intention to go home. With the sprinkle of Tinker Bells’a pixie dust, captain hook’s pirate ship
was sailing through the skies of Neverland, heading back to the Darling’s home in London.

Snow White

Once upon a time. In ealier times there lived a who named Snow White. She lived
with her aunt an uncle because her parents died. One day she heard her uncle and aunt talking
about leaving Snow White in the castle because they wanted to go to America and they did
not have enough money to take Snow White with them. Princess Snow White did not want
her uncle and aunt to do this. So he decide to escape.
The next day she ran away from home when her aunt and uncle were having breakfast,
she fled into the wood. In the wood she felt very tired and hungry. Then she saw this cottage,
she knocked, but no one answered her so she went inside and fell asleep Meanwhile, seven
dwarfs came home from his work. They get into. There, they found Snow White woke up
from his sleep. He saw the dwarfs. The dwarf said : “What is your name?” Snow White said,
“My name is Snow White.” One dwarf said, “If you want, you can stay here with us. Snow
white tells all about her story. Then daughter Snow and the seven dwarsves are now living
happily ever after.

The dwarfs said, “What’s your name?” Snow White said, “My name is Snow White.”
Doc, one of the dwarfs said, “If you wish, you may live here with us.” Snow White
said, “Oh could I? Thank you.” Then Snow White told the dwarfs the whole story and Snow
White and the seven dwarfs lived happily ever after.
Unhelpful Friends

Bunny rabbit lived in the forest. He had many friends. He was proud of his friends.

One day Bunny rabbit heard the loud barking of wild dogs. He was very scared. He decided to
ask for help. He quickly went to his friend deer. He said, “Dear friend, some wild dogs are
chasing me. Can you chase them away with your sharp antlers?”

The deer said, “That is right, I can. But now I am busy. Why don’t you ask bear for help?”

Bunny rabbit ran to the bear. “My dear friend, you are very strong. Please help me. Some wild
dogs are after me. Please chase them away,” he requested to the bear.

The bear replied, “I am sorry. I am hungry and tired. I need to find some food. Please ask the
monkey for help.”

Poor Bunny went to the monkey, the elephant, the goat and all his other friends. Bunny felt
sad that nobody was ready to help him.

He understood that he had to think of a way out by himself. He hid under a bush. He lay very
still. The wild dogs did not find the bunny. They went chasing other animals.

Bunny rabbit learnt that he had to learn to survive by himself, not depending on his unhelpful
friends.

Moral: It is better to rely on yourself than depend on others.
