DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
Philosophy of the Human Person is a three (3)-unit course which focuses on man in all angles of his existence as he relates with himself,
others and with his creator. It tries to search for the answers in the what-who-questions about man and find for the origin of the world and the place
of man in it.

The course elucidates to the students the essentiality of man as a being and creature destined to live as a unique individuals. Knowledge on
the nature of man allows the students to gain deeper understanding of their existence which further enables them to understand others and easily
relate with them.

I. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Familiarize with the concept, theories and principles in relation to Philosophy of the human person.
2. Gain deeper understanding and analysis of the interplay of society and philosophy in relation to human experience.
3. Develop an ability to critically analyze issues and problems as regards man.
4. Know the different Philosophers, their life and their philosophical contribution to man.
