I believe these are classifications that are used in India. This is not something concrete?
that I have come across in my experience in the US. We typically specify as a
class of concrete such as Class 30 (Cl30), or maybe Class 30F (Cl30F) for fly ash,
which refers to a design strength of 3000 pounds per square inch (psi). This is Ask New Question
usually based on the 28 day strength determined by crushing a concrete cylinder

of about 6 inches in diameter by about 12 inches.
Reading up on it a little bit, the M seems to stand for Mix. The 30 stands for the
28 day cube strength of mix in N/mm2. These are not typical values that we use
in the States. We don't typically use cube strength unless we are testing a grout.
