Assignment format and other relevant instructions to students:

Write a 2500 word individual report addressing the questions listed in the assignment task (see below).

Students are required to choose a business (organisation) of their choice to address the assignment questions.

This assignment tests the following Learning Outcomes for the module:

1. Obtain information relevant to an analysis of a firm's business environment;

2. Assess the impact of government on the structure and operation of a business organisation;
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of changes in the business environment on business organisation and
activity.

The Assignment Task:

You are to identify a business (organisation) of your choice to address the following tasks:

1. Identify the type of organisation chosen (i.e. private limited / public limited) and discuss the differences between
public limited and private limited company (20 MARKS) 450 Word
 2. Conduct STEP analysis on your organisation(25 MARKS) 525 words

3. Using Porter’s five-forces, analyse the nature of competition within which your chosen organisation operates (25
MARKS) 525 words

4. Having examined the external business environmental influences, now you are required to solely focus on the
impact of Brexit on your organisation. Evaluate the impacts of Brexit on your organisation – provide supporting
evidence, where appropriate.(30 MARKS) 600 word
