Respected Madam:

Compliments of the day!

Lifelong learning is defined as “the ability to be responsive to change, to be inquiring and

reflective in practice, through information literacy and autonomous, self-managed learning”
(Southern Cross University, 2017). This may seem complex but in reality, it is a process that
everyone needs to undertake to grow as an individual may it be in life or career . In order to
bridge lifelong learning to our students, educators like us should be dynamic and creative in
designing teaching strategies which will enable students to maximize their potentials.

In connection to this, the undersigned will organize a seminar-workshop entitled Student

Entrepreneurs’ Business Training Series with the theme: “Getting Ready for Business
Opportunities” which will be held on March 9, 2018 and March 16, 2018 at PNHS Senior High
School Building. It will be a two-part series of training in cooperation with Department of Trade
and Industry Tacloban City. Topic discussion are relative to the competencies that is embedded
in the curriculum guide of the Entrepreneurship subject of our Grade 12 Senior High School
students. It will be adapting a lecture-practicum approach since there will be hands-on exercises
and activities on Chocolate Making, Simplified Book Keeping and Business Planning. Please see
the program of activities attached herewith.

The undersigned is writing to humbly ask your approval for the conduct of the activity and sincerely
solicits your support in any manner to obtain the goals of the event for the benefit of our learners.

Thank you. May God bless us all.

Sincerely yours,

MARIA THERESA M. HERBOLINGO, LPT

Respected Madam/Sir:

Compliments of the day!

Our Grade 12 learners will soon leave the portals of our school community. As soon as they step
forward into a new beginning of their life and career, Pagsulhugon National High School is gearing
up these learners towards the K-12 Programs’ three (3) curriculum exits. Appreciating and
entering the Business ventures is one of their great options after obtaining the skills that they need
in their two-years academic journey under the Genaral Academic Strand curriculum. It most
appropriate reason why Entrepreneurship subject is a part of their program offerings in the
curriculum they have chosen. Realistically, the subject is actually offered throughout the four
tracks in the Senior High School.

Thus, a seminar-workshop entitled Student Entrepreneurs’ Business Training Series with the
theme: “Getting Ready for Business Opportunities” which will be held on March 9, 2018 and
March 16, 2018 at Senior High School Building of Pagsulhugon National High School. It will be a
two-part series of training which we envision to deliver in cooperation with your beloved
Department of Trade and Industry Tacloban City. The event is spearheaded by yours truly and
the Grade 12 Senior High School students in order to obtain the skills and competencies need in
their Entrepreneurship subject which is listed at the attached program rationale of the event.

In connection to these, the undersigned is writing to humbly request for resource persons on the
topics embedded in the above-mentioned training. Please see attached training program for the
detailed listing of topics. In the program training matrix, we included Chocolate Making which we
have know that your department has been providing to local communities. We are earnestly
hoping if our students can as well be provided this learning opportunity before exiting their SHS
academic journey. We will truly appreciate if your good office can provide the tools and materials
needed for chocolate making for the success of the training since our school cannot came up with
these materials considering our MOOE limits.

We are anticipating for a positive regard, benevolent heart and immediate action relevant to the
visions of these event.

Thank you. May God bless Department of Trade & Industry, Tacloban U

Sincerely yours,

MARIA THERESA M. HERBOLINGO, LPT
