Subject: Malfunctioning Boots and Gloves

Reference: A) Sales Receipt, Dated Sept 14, 2017

Per reference A), I purchased a pair of your heated boots and gloves. For the first week, they
performed as advertised. However, on September 22nd, while walking in heavy rain, the gloves
and boots, which are advertised as waterproof, both quickly soaked through. In addition to the
obvious discomfort of wet hands and feet, the water intrusion appears to have destroyed the heat
elements. Both the gloves and the boots are no longer functioning. All attempts to fix the boots
and gloves have been unsuccessful.

Frostbite No More Incorporated’s Satisfaction Guarantee Policy states that a replacement will be
provided if the product fails to meet its advertised claims or breaks. However, I am instead
requesting purchasing credit of equal value to my transaction for other merchandise.

As a long-time customer, my prior experiences with your company have been very positive. For
example, I previously purchased one of your heated jackets and it has performed well, exceeding
expectations in both comfort and durability.

Conversely, the heated gloves and boots exhibit a shocking lack of quality. They were not
waterproof, and I do not have confidence that a replacement will last significantly longer.
Therefore, replacement of the product in question would not be satisfactory. Instead, the
resolution that I am requesting is the purchasing credit stated above. This would be consistent
with the intent of the Satisfaction Guarantee and would produce a mutually beneficial result.

I look forward to your timely response and resolution to this issue.
