Good Morning Everybody. Thankyou for coming on my presentation. An honor to meet


you here.
First of all, I will tell the background of my paper.

Culinary is an identity that reflects the uniqueness of a country. Each country must
have a distinctive culinary and become a mainstay in the country. In Indonesia, every
region or city had a peculiar culinary culture.

According to statistical data and survey result done by Creative Economy Firm of
Indonesia alongside Statistics Indonesia, the Indonesian economy is dominated by 3
subsectors, and the biges one is 41,69% at the culinary subsector. In addition, based on
Skyscanner's survey of 1,000 travelers by 2013, 47% of travelers prefer culinary travel
by tasting local food. This of course opens a great deal of potential for Indonesian
citizens to foster the growth of entrepreneurship in culinary world. One of the peculiar
characteristics of food in Indonesia is the prevalent usage of coconut milk as an
ingredient.

there are so many foods made from coconut milk in Indonesia, be it snacks or food. even
when we do a search on the internet it will be a lot of food made from coconut milk. like
in this slide

This is the example of food that makes from coconut milk as an ingredient. Gulai, es puter,
soto, lodeh, opor, es pisang ijo and many others.

But there is still have a problem of making coconut milk.


However, in businesses involving the preparation of snacks or food with coconut milk as
an ingredient is still quite complex and time consuming. There’s a lot of complaints
from both business owners and workers on the field in terms of the manual extraction
method, namely the scarce gain of high-grade, thick coconut milk due to the limited
amount of manpower exerted per extraction, with the rest being abundant, lower-grade
and thin coconut milk. Coconut milk is a staple ingredient in determining the taste of
food and snack, so a lesser-grade milk will substantially affect the taste of the milk. On
the other side, when culinary entrepreneurs buy coconut milk that it already exists in
the market, it will have an impact on the increasing price of the food they make. In
addition, coconut that has been on the market sometimes has a taste that is less in line
with the desired culinary entrepreneurs so they still choose the manual way to make
coconut milk.

That’s why there’s a high hope for a coconut milk extraction machine that is suitable
for small and medium enterprise industries to increase its effectivity and productivity.
Aside from that, there’s also a need for a low-price, effective and efficient machine to
reduce manpower fatigue and also the ease of usage by workers or other users.

So, im suluh pambudi, from agricultural technology department ready to solve that
problems.

My innovation is, SMART-COMIQER (SMART COCONUT MILK SQUEEZER)


INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY OF COCONUT MILK EXTRACTION CENTRIFUGASE SYSTEM TO
INCREASE EFFECTIVITY AND PRODUCTIVITY CULINARY BASED COCONUT MILK IN
INDONESIA

This is the step to design the smart comiqer. First is start

This centrifugase rotation motion is useful for pushing the coconut milk out of the hollow cylinders
through the holes in the walls.
During the ongoing round there will be a collision between the grated coconut with the cylindrical
wall that can break the cell wall of the grated coconut.

this cylinder has a function as a holder of a hollow cylinder and as a container or barrier of coconut
milk out through a hollow cylinder to be channeled through an outlet

This component is for outlet of coconut milk after going through the process of extractionn on
hollow cylinders

The engine of this design has a dimension of 80 cm depth, 80 cm wide and 100 cm high.
The hollow cylinder is made of stainless steel plate as a 3 mm thick anti-rust material
and has a hole diameter of 3 mm in the wall. This machine using an electric motor with
1 HP power. Speed of rotation on hollow cylinder is 750 rpm. The engine is also
equipped with a timer that serves to disable the rotation of the machine so that when
the machine operates the worker does not need to wait because the machine will die
automatically. To operate this machine is enough done by one worker.

The rotation effect on the hollow cylinder is obtained from the rotation of the ½ HP
electric motor shaft by 1500 rpm, the rotation is then transmitted to the cylindrical shaft
by the transmission of the belt and the pulley. Using a bearing on the cylinder shaft, the
cylinder can rotate. The desired rotation is 750 rpm assuming no slippage occurs on the
belt and pulley.

The operation of this machine is very easy, the workers simply insert the grated coconut
that has been inserted in the filter cloth on the hollow cylinder. After that set the time
on the timer and then connect the machine to the mains. Don forget to take the bacin
under the outlet. The machine will turn off by itself so that electricity usage is more
efficient. And the last flush the cylinder part with water to keep the machine clean.

The cost to make one unit of coconut milk extraction machine is Rp 2,555,000 and the
selling price is Rp 3,000,000, so there is profit about Rp 445,000. The main cost to
squeeze one coconut is Rp 104 / grain.

This machine is intended to lighten the burden of workers and able to streamline the
work so that productivity in the culinary business that made from coconut milk will
increase. The planned market target is the entrepreneurs engaged in the sale of food or
snacks that use coconut milk as a material of the products they make. With this
machine, businessman can be facilitated about the technical extraction of coconut milk
automatically and can reduce the risk of accidents.With SMART-COMIQER, it is
expected that the production of coconut-milk based culinary in Indonesia can increase.
The increase of productivity is also expected to increase the national economic growth.
