MONDAY—EVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Joshua 3-6
Monday, March 19
Isa. 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when
thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and
the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Dear Holy Father and Lord:
Jesus did not die in vain, so let me not live in vain. His death was
sacrificial; let my life be a living sacrifice. I thank you for sending Jesus as my
substitute, because his finished work pays the penalty for my sins. His soul was a
sacrifice for all those who are born in sin, and I am called to carry that good news
to them! Help me Lord Jesus, by your Spirit, to get them to see and understand.
Why should I not be willing to die to myself to accomplish this? In death
Lord, you became like the corn of wheat that brings forth many ears. If Jesus is
the Everlasting Father, then he needs a succession of children so he can say,
Heb. 2:13 Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
A parent is honored in his children. May I add to Jesus’ honor by winning
__________ and __________ to him. Just as parents are represented by their
children, so Christ is represented to others by me! In a sense, a person’s life is
prolonged in his seed—so the life of Christ is continued in Christians.
Thank you Lord, for recognizing me as your child. Make me more and
more worthy of your sacrifice. And you will, as I am,
† Heb. 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
Isaiah tells us that Jesus looks on us (Isa. 53:11). He sees us as the reward
of his soul’s travail. So when we look unto him, then our eyes meet! What a joy
to be walking in your word and bringing others to the cross. Amen.

TUESDAY—FOCUS ON CHRIST’S LIFE
Chronological Bible Reading: Joshua 7-10
Tuesday, March 20
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me
I will in no wise cast out.
Glorious God and Heavenly Father:
Help me spread the glorious sound: no one who approaches God by Jesus
Christ can be prohibited. Toward God, forward progress is never hindered!
Matt. 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall
be opened unto you:
Everyone who seeks will find without fail. Make seekers out of my network
of neighbors, family and friends. Among lost souls in hell no one will say, “I was
coming and he stopped me. I was on my way but it was too late. I got there and
he refused me.” No. It is not possible for any I know to be the first person ever
to whom God breaks his word. Help me reach them with the message that if they
simply start seeking God, he will be found by them!
Of this I can be sure: as I approach you about the mess of my society you
will not refuse to hear. Let me go together, with my church—beseeching God in
prayer, imploring him in desperate dependence—for we will find grace, each one
for the way. What did they say when they sought to accuse Jesus?
Luke 15:2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth
sinners,
He receives and never refuses! That is true of the sinner who needs to get
saved today, and true of me in my failures. I come by prayer—and that prayer
broken. I come by confession—and that confession faulty. I come with praise—
and that praise far short of Jesus’ merits. I come with tears, yet you receive even
me. Lord, I am worn-out and worthless. Thank you for not casting me out. Now
help me share this hope with others, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
FRIDAY— CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Joshua 19-22
Friday, March 23
Deut. 12:28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go
well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and
right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
O God Who Is Our Father:
Easter is coming! The curse is taken away by the cross, so no promise of
blessing is suspended. Salvation is not by works, yet blessings still follow
obedience as we are faithful. This one truth would heal all our families!
Help us note and listen to your will, revealed in your word, during our
services at church. Help us not give attention only to sections we like, but to all
these words. It is not for us to pick and choose over what the preacher teaches.
Give us an impartial reverence for everything you command.
Righteousness is still the road of blessing for a father and his children—
even down to the third and fourth generation—if only we love you. Help us walk
uprightly this week, for the sake of our families, and for those who are watching
us! Make all men know we are a seed who are blessed by you.
No blessing can come through neglect of Bible truths. The families we
work with, go to school with, and see in our community need to hear the
preaching this Sunday. We need Sunday services and midweek worship so we can
break-out from the matrix of the lost! The way of the world is conformity, but
the way of your Eternal Purpose is holiness.
It will go well with us when we go well with you. If integrity does not make
us prosper, then nothing else will! Artificial craft or politics will not. We trust in
you today that the things that bring pleasure to God will ultimately bring pleasure
to us also. We have to believe this truth, because everything about the life of faith
WEDNESDAY—REVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Joshua 11-14
Wednesday, March 21
Job 33:27-28 He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted
that which was right, and it profited me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and
his life shall see the light.
Dear God Who Loves Us in Christ Jesus:
The words of Elihu preserve truth gathered from experience. The Bible
says he made these comments to Job because Job justified himself rather than God
(Job 32:2). How many times have I done that, being righteous in my own sight?
I have sinned. I have sinned personally. I have sinned willfully. I have not
only missed the mark, but by perverting your truth I moved the mark to match
my own agenda! I have sinned so as to discover there is no profit in it, and the
wages are eternal loss.
But what you did for Elihu and Job, you still do today. I come to you with
my honest acknowledgement of my own wickedness, knowing as long as the
world stands, you will receive into your arms all who come to you with a sincere
confession of sin. In fact, you are always on the lookout for anyone who is in
trouble due to his or her own faults. Help me watch for them too, Lord! So that
by your Spirit and your word we can bring them from a position of fault to a
position of faith in Christ.
The pit of hell was yawning to receive me, but you have delivered me by the
price of your blood. You granted me life—now grant me light, and the
opportunity to share it with others and see revival.
Why should I despair? Why should I even doubt? You do not mock
humility. The guilt I used to have is all forgiven. The weakness I fell into has been
pardoned. I confess you as Lord, and consecrate my self to your mission. This
offering of myself I make in Jesus’ own name and to his glory. Amen.
SATURDAY—IN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Joshua 23-24; Judges 1
Saturday, March 24
Psa. 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time
of trouble.
Almighty and Heavenly Father:
Here is the third Psalm that begins with a beatitude. To search the word of
God comes first (Psa. 1:1). Pardon for sin is second (Psa. 32:1). But the crowning
thing I honor you by is to live for the purpose of blessing others!
Lord, since I have partaken of your grace, let me live by a more tender
nature, not hardened against those who are in need (because their need only
exists to point them to Christ!). Let me take up the cause of the disenfranchised,
and make a serious effort to help them as I hope to win them.
Father, forbid that I should toss them a bone, and go on my way. As I ask
about their sorrows and discover their needs, let me study the best ways to bring
relief, finding practical ways to come to their rescue, and give them the example
of Christ as I follow in the way of the master.
If I think of others, then you will remember me. Days of trouble come to
me as well as to the lost. I take the best precaution against my own stormy day if
I provide shelter to others when times are bitter for them but better for me. If I
am sensitive to other’s trials, you do not promise to keep me from trouble, but
you do promise to preserve me in it, and in your timing to bring me out of it.
Lord, help me trust in these spiritual facts: selfishness is self-limiting
because it carries its own curse; it is a cancer of the heart. Generous hospitality
brings happiness and deep inner peace. Give me the reward of being like Jesus in
having compassion for others. He used works of mercy to pave the way for his
message. Show me whose lives I should watch over, so then my own life will be
precious in your sight. Make me more like the Master in this. Amen.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
Donna Tuescher strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Debbie Parrie - wife, Scott Parrie Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
“Oh,” says one, “I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer.” And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into God’s presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayer—the posture, the
time, place—rather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
