Starter 1. Charade game is played in the class to CHARADE–
(10 minutes) guess the verbs acted out. guessing the verb 2. The game is related to what has been learnt (regular verbs) and what’s going to be learnt. 3. Irregular verbs are introduced and students must know the difference between regular and irregular verbs.
Activity 1 Identifying the irregular verbs. Teaching Aid:
(10 minutes) 1. Students are randomly picked to read Handouts the extract. 2. They have to identify 8/10 irregular verbs in the extract. 3. Students discuss the answers with teacher. LESSON PLAN

Activity 2 1. Students are divided into groups, each Teaching Aid:
(15 minutes) group is given an envelope of irregular Cue cards with verbs to be sorted. irregular verbs 2. They are given 7 minutes to sort out the irregular verbs. Mahjong paper 3. The first to complete is the winner. 4. The irregular verbs are pasted on a mah-jong paper and presented.
Activity 3 1. Running dictation, each group is RUNNING
(20 minutes) assigned with wo sentences using the DICATION irregular verbs. 2. Students take turns to run out of the Teaching Aid: classroom to memorise the sentences Cue Cards they see and relate to the group leader to be written on the mah-jong Mahjong paper paper. 3. The first to finish is the winner. Handouts 4. All the sentences are presented and discussed.

(5 minutes) Worksheet 1. A recap of irregular verb is given and students should memorise the irregular verbs by hard. 2. A quiz will be given during the next lesson. 3. Homework on more irregular and regular verbs are given.
