This chapter presents the methods on how the data from experiment are gathered and
analyzed. It explains also how the Fish Innards Dehydrating Machine was fabricated. Finally, the
to research wherein researchers manipulate one or more variables, and controls and measures any
change in other variables. Experimental research is also known as true experiment. It uses data
directly to the actual application and seeks immediate solution to the problems. This study aims to
answer the necessity for a Fish Innards Dehydrating Machine that will be used for the fish innards
1. Hopper – The hopper is the pathway of the substance that will be lead to the conveyor. This
component regulates the volume of the Fish innards entering into the machine for dehydrating.
2. Conveyor – The conveyor is made out of wire mesh and will act as a sieve for the fish
innards; the substance will travel along the conveyor for the dehydrating process until it reaches
3. LPG/Burner – The burner will supply the heat inside the machine to lessen the moisture in
the substance.
4. Fan – The fan will employ the force convection inside the machine for the distribution of the
5. Bearing – The bearings will provide sliding motion between the main shaft and the shaft of
the conveyor.
6. Machine Frame – This is the platform on which the whole machine will be mounted. The
frame will be made out of angle bars with the dimension of 3/16 x 1 ½ inch.
7. Mechanical Drive – A 5 HP, electric motor will be used as the prime mover for the machine
8. Pulleys – Four pulleys will be used in the project. The first pulley is mounted directly on the
Mechanical Drive, the size of the pulley will be 127 mm and for the remaining pulleys the size
will be 210 mm. The larger pulley will reduce the speed of the conveyor for the dehydrating
