The subject gave us an opportunity to apply what we've learned in internal

audit by choosing a host establishment as our client to perform a audit report based
on compliance and operations. I was assigned to be the documentation analyst in
our group, with my task I value the virtue of time management, teamwork, and
commitment. We choose JD Somoza Builders, a new construction business which is
owned by Engr. Somoza located at Panacan, Davao City. During the process of
audit, we found out thing that would help improve the firm's operation. Our group as
the acting accounting firm gives recommendation to our client based on the activities
that we have conducted like inquiry, observation, inspection. We also conducted
interviews from the representative of the host client. Our client was very
accommodating and willing to accept our recommendations on this study.

For the success of this activity, I would like to thank my group mates who
have been cooperative and passionate on this endeavor particularly out Chief-
Account-Executive, my classmates who have been helpful in so many cases, to our
Professor who always have been dedicated to his work and making sure that
everyday we had gained important things from him, and to almighty god for being
with us and guiding us throughout our undertakings.

I feel honored to experience the actual audit engagement and its procedures
on how to conduct the activities. The actual application of what we have learned in
our Internal Audit subject gave us they keys on proper ways of handling both internal
and external functions of Audit. We decided to audit a construction firm to determine
their nature of business and how their operations and processes going. We choose
JD Somoza Builders, a new construction business which is owned by Engr. Somoza
located at Panacan, Davao City. On our tasked, I was assigned to observe the risk in
operation of the establishment. I found out that there were possible risk that could
probably affect the performance of the company. I have suggested alternative
actions and made recommendations to hopefully address and avoid the possible risk
on both internal and external operation. They gladly accecepted our overall
assessment on their performance.

We are very thankful that we successful conducted the study throughout the
days given for us. It seems so hard for us as begginers, but with the help of our
professor, groupmates, and host establishment staffs and officers we did it easily
and gained knowledge that cannot be forgettable.
