By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-


1. Mainstream: Able to arrange letters to form four verbs jump,kick, skip and run.
OBJECTIVE
2. Linus: Able to match verbs with correct pictures of the verbs jump,kick,skip
and run.

SUCCESS CRITERIA 1. Pupils spell the four verbs aloud.

Set Induction: i. Pupils sing and make action of jump,kick, skip and run to the
Old McDonald song with lyric adaptation.
Pre-Writing: i. In groups, pupils complete set of puzzle contains pictures of the
jump,kick, skip and run pictures.
ii. Later pupils arrange letters to form the verbs.

While-Writing: i. Pupils will complete worksheet of mix and match.


ACTIVITIES
ii. Linus pupils join dots to form the verbs.

Post-Writing : i. Pupils sit in circles in their groups and play the “ Poison Box”
game. As the music stops, pupils who holds the box will pick a
card, acts and others will guess the action.

Closure : i. Pupils play “ Simon Says” to refresh the whole verbs again.
