CONTENT STANDARDs: The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text types serve as a means of connecting to the
world; also ways on analyzing one-act play and different forms of verbal and non-verbal strategies for him/her to skillfully perform in a one-act play.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD: the learner skillfully performs in a one-act play through utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based
on the following criteria: focus, voice, delivery, and dramatic convention.
DISCOVERY LESSON

2. Wrap up the lesson by giving the definition
of direct and indirect speech i.e. direct and
indirect speech or reported speech are two
ways of conveying a message or simply
narrating spoken words of one person to
another.
D. EVALUATION
1. Pair the students for them to conduct an
interview activity guided by the guide
questions.
2. Ask them to write their partner’s response
in direct speech
3. They should be able to transform those
direct speech statements to indirect speech.
Guide questions:
a. What is your favorite sport? “My favorite sport is
basketball”
b. what did you eat for breakfast? “I ate chicken for breakfast”
c. where will you go after class? “I will go home after class”
The boy said, ”I really like a girl and I don’t know how to tell her”
Being a good friend, the girl replied, “You can practice on me if you want to”.
So, the girl answered, “I like you too!” and she added, “It is not that hard” and she told him to tell the girl how he feels.
Scenario 1: if you did something bad to her, what would you tell her?
