Section 1: Profile of the Nonprofit Organization
Mission: To promote relationships free of violence and control by providing
a safe place to receive intervention, advocacy, and education services using
prevention strategies and community partnerships.

Section 2: The Fundraising Case Statement
Started in 1974 as Rape Information and Counseling Service

● Just an emergency hotline


● Realized it was mostly domestic violence cases

Impact of programs

● Every year, Peaceful Paths shelters 200 women and children, counsels 750
people, answers 2,000 hotline calls and educates 3,500 students and 1,500
professionals.

● Innovative housing project-the Dulton-Schilling Emergency Service Campus


● Serves everyone regardless of race, religion, color, immigrant status,
marital status, or language they speak.
● Only Certified Domestic Abuse center for Alachua, Bradford, and Union

Prospect 1:BEST PROSPECT: Tom Petty -> Connected through his abusive past: His father was
an abusive alcoholic abusing him, his mother, and his brother. His first wife Jane had a
lot of psychological problems and was verbally abusive to him and his daughter. He is
worth $75 million

Prospect 2: Keith Perry -> Is committed to several organizations that affirm dignity &
personhood of all individuals (at risk women, formerly incarcerated, and homeless) He is
worth $4.8 million

Prospect 3:Ed Jimenez -> Very involved in giving back to children and is currently the
chief executive officer for UF Health Shands system

Prospect 4: Barbara Bradley Backgaard -> Has strong family values and has a passion for
women empowerment. Her net worth is around $270 million.

Prospect 5: Connie Wernery -> Shares the values of improving community through charity &
service. Her net worth is ranged between $100,000 and $249,999.
