Social Life and Motivation Lab

· Design and conduct independent research project on perceived morality of romantic partner
switching, “When, and For Whom, Is Replacing a Lover Immoral?”
· Study includes narratives depicting instances of partner switching that subjects must designate
moral or immoral; includes measure to capture ambivalence. Survey component assembled in
Qualtrics.
· Engage in additional ongoing lab study activities, including assembling and administrating
Qualtrics surveys and assigning credit to participants through Sona Systems.
· Attend weekly lab meetings; discuss study progress and present relevant literature to fellow lab
members.

Social Health and Affective Neuroscience Lab

· Volunteer R.A. for neuroimaging study examining the effects of an opioid antagonist (Naltrexone)
on feelings of social connectedness.
· Screen participants for fMRI study over the phone and in-person: administer Qualtrics and paper
surveys, administer drug and pregnancy tests, and escort subjects to psychiatric evaluation.

Honey Bee Research & Extension Lab
Gainesville, FL
· Identified and captured honeybees that met research criteria; conducted cage-run pesticide
application experiment with qualifying bees.
· Trained to use sensitive lab and field equipment, including specimen point-freezer and hive smoker.
· Drafted correspondence with project funders regarding experiment progress and expenses.

Volunteer Leader | Hands on Nashville’s Urban Farm | Feb. 2014 – Oct. 2015
· Lead groups of volunteers on trips to urban farm to perform maintenance and labor, helping
participants to improve their gardening and farming skills.
· Educated volunteers about urban food scarcity issues; all farm produce is donated to The Nashville
Food Project.
