9. N/A, question is worded horribly and is stupidddd.

Note: This is the way to do it with Beta Distribution. According to Delyle, Binomial distribution
should have been used AND you also get a different answer. Sadly, I do not have the solution
to the Binomial method, sorry!

4. Okay so I figured out what was wrong with this after someone (Thanks to Tyler James) sent
me their solution and then when I was leafing through the textbook. The beta formula I used is
the one for when we find the null hypothesis on the left side of the real hypothesis. The beta
formula we’re supposed to use is basically inversed with it’s negative signs so you will get a
positive answer. It’s the formula on page 128 of the textbook. I used the one beside it on page

Chapter 1
P (A) = P (A ⋂ B) + P (A ⋂ B′)
P (A ⋂ B) = P (A|B)P (B) note: if statistically independent P (A ⋂ B) = P (A)P (B)
Bayes Theorem P (B|A) = P(A|B)P(B)
P(A)
If P (A|B) = n then P (A′|B) = 1 − n
P (A ⋃ B ⋃ C ) = P (A) + P (B) + P (C) − P (A ⋂ B) − P (B ⋂ C )
P (A ⋃ B ⋃ C ) = P (A) + P (B) + P (C) − P (A ⋂ B) − P (B ⋂ C ) − P (C ⋂ A)
