The Teaching Profession

1. I will use it through the way I teach. I am a flexible person and I will use it by being flexible to
whatever situations that may occur during my class. I am also a very curious person and I am going to
use it to know my students by knowing their background stories to better understand the way they act
in my class. I’m gonna make sure that using my personal qualities in my class will produce a productive
and successful professionals someday.

2. Since the community look up to us teachers as a leader, that is what I am going to show to them. I will
do all that I can in helping the community. I will lend my service to help our barangay captain regarding
the barangay programs. I am going to do what is being asked to me not just because I am a teacher but
also because I am a part of the community. By helping, you are showing to them that you are a reliable
and responsible person as well as teacher.

3. I think it is the teachers’ inclination to help one’s mind to grow and learn that makes them great. The
qualities of a great teacher are having passion for teaching that makes them dedicated in their
profession, love for children which encourage them to nurture their student’s mind with a lot of
informations, willingness to change to serve students in better ways of teaching and ability to
collaborate with students to have a better relationship and have a productive interaction with others. I
can be a great teacher by simply being me, for I believe that if you are teaching in a way that you are
comfortable in what you are doing, you can perform better and enjoy each moments while helping
those hungry minds of the students.

4. I consider it profession because it is a vocation to teach and impart knowledge to those who need it
without any rewards. I really like to see students who learn from what I teach because it gives me
fulfilment and purpose in life. Through teaching, I can share my ideas and experiences that may help my
students in their future journey in this life. Knowing that students learn from me, it makes my existence
in this world memorable.

5. The statement “Once a teacher, forever a student.” implies that teaching is a continuous learning
process in which you always learn to expand your knowledge and for you to able to teach students
according to the pace the technology is having right now. As a teacher you need to be updated like a
student who needs to be intellectually nourished to gain self-improvement that will help you to perform
better in class and become a great teacher.

6. No, because those non-teaching assignments can help to mold you as a person and help you have a
social interaction. It helps to make a person grow and witness that teaching does not only occur inside
the four walls of a classroom but everywhere. Non-teaching assignments will show that you can handle
other responsibilities.
7. Yes, because class hours is provided for having a class and not for selling merchandises. Teachers
should focus in teaching during class hours for we who resides here in Philippines always don’t have a
class especially during rainy days that causes delayed lesson at the end of school year which causes
incomplete learning for the students. The teacher may sell merchandises during vacant time to avoid
taking the provided time for the students to learn.

8. No. As long as the intention is genuine and there is a formal courting process. Since it was just an
attraction between the two then it is acceptable. Better wait for the student to finish his schooling to be
safe. Just be prepared for all the criticisms, feedbacks and other challenges that will come.

9. Yes, to add two more years for the student to sharpen their mind. Also to become more competitive
and acceptable anywhere in the world. It also helps those students to have a certification after senior
high school that allow them to be productive at an early age if they do not have money to proceed in
college. Upon having a certification, it is like those students already have an access to work and help
their family.

10. It implicates that being a world class can be achieved wherever you are in the world. It is not the
place where you do it but how you do it. To whom do you apply it, whatever it is, when are you going to
do it as long as you possess the qualities of a world class teacher, no one can take that away from you.

Education 10

1. I am going to maintain proper classroom management by introducing the rules inside the classroom
to my students. I will make sure that they will take it seriously by having corresponding consequences in
every violation. I am a strict person in a right way. By these, I can show to my students that I am a
teacher who have a control.

2. The community can help in school activities by providing their support and assistance whenever there
is an event conducted or organized by the school. Through helping the school, the community helps the
students to see the importance of the relationship between the two. With the collaboration of the
community and school, it helps the students in their social development.

3. Teachers are assigned to record the achievements of the students. One of these is the class record,
where you can find the graded values of the class performance of a student. It should not be forgotten
for it reflects to what the student have achieved at school. It is where you also see the behavior of a
student, his oral participation and examinations. The other record to be accomplished by a teacher is
the permanent record. It is where the grades of a student from the start of his/her time in school. It is
needed by the students who want to transfer to other school. There is also a record to be done by
putting the grade of a student in every semester and is the report card. This card is the one being
presented to the parents that shows their sons/daughters performance at school.
4. A global teacher is the one who have a characteristic of person who is passionate in teaching towards
his/her students. One who teaches with a heart and smile every time he/she goes to school. One who
act as a role model to his/her student because he/she is shows how be a good citizen of this country.
One who can manage his/her students whatever the situation that may occur. One who is proud of
his/her profession as a teacher that promotes the vocation in teaching. One who is skilful enough to
perform in front of his/her student. One who is knowledgeable of his/her subject matter to be
discussed. One who is competent to guide the students in performing a task which will help to the
individual development of a student.
