PERNYATAAN SEBELUM PBS

Before implementing the School Based Experience (PBS) in the school of my choice, I
was briefed about it which was delivered by faculty coordinator for the PBS for this year. This is
my first time as a trainee teacher of second semester of Bachelor of Teaching (PISMP) doing
PBS.
In this semester, I wanted to do the PBS for a week and given the opportunity to do
PBS in accordance with our own selection of the schools and the majority of us do PBS in our
own hometown. After a briefing from a lecturer, then we understand little about PBS. In addition,
the main focus of the PBS task is to give exposure to the trainee teachers about school culture,
train trainee teacher to adapt at school and in the classroom. In addition, PBS also aims to
sensitize the beginning of learning.
Through PBS, I want to embrace a career as a teacher to see how a teacher is
fulfilling their responsibilities. I also make a determination to get early exposure of students'
learning and to understand the management and teaching and learning strategies. Indirectly,
experience on interactive skills with students, teachers and school staffs were also one of the
objectives of PBS.
There are some tasks that I have to do while attending PBS. With that, I will take the
opportunity to the extent possible to collect data on school management, teaching and learning
climate and school culture. I will also meet with the teachers and all those involved in the school
management to pursue every new experience. I would also observe, interview and find
information related to my job at the same time to gain new knowledge.
In a nutshell, humility will always be in me. I will then reflect on everything I've learned
that I can apply to myself and can take a lesson from it.
