    KEYBOARD SKILLS 1 REQUIREMENTS

    I. Major Pentascales (or Five-Finger Patterns)

    Ex. 2.1 (in C major)

    All intervals are whole steps except between the third and fourth scale degrees, which is a half
    step.

    All Major/Minor Pentascales, play in Chromatic order (C, Cm, Db, C#m, D, Dm, etc.), ascending and
    descending, Hands Separately and Together.
