Enough, too, so, such

1. enough, too

Enough = a sufficient quantity/quality.


Too = an excessive quantity/ quality.

Enough

 Enough is placed after an adjective or adverb, but


before a noun. Examples:
• Ali is intelligent enough.

} Adjective+enough.
• Karim works well enough.

• Ali has enough money to go to Europe.

} Enough +noun
• Karim has enough time to do the job.

Too
 Too is placed after an adjective or adverb, but before a
noun and it is regularly used with much, many, little or
few. Examples:

• Ali is too naïve.


• Karim walks too quickly.
But
• Ali has too much money

• The infinitive with to is often used after too + adjective, or


not + adjective + enough.
It's too cold to swim today. (We can't swim today - it's too cold.)
It isn't warm enough to go to the beach. (We can't go to the
beach- it's not warm enough.)

• Such is used to modify noun phrases: examples:
