HUMAN RESOURCES FOR HEALTH DEPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

A program of the Department of Health wherein selected health professionals are physically transferred
to areas of need to complement the existing Human Resources for Health (HRH) in facilities for effective
and efficient health service delivery.

I. GOALS

a. To promote access to quality health services by the marginalized, vulnerable and disadvantaged
population of the country.
b. To complement/augment the Local Government Unit s(LGUs) health workforce with the GOAL
of one (1) health worker per barangay
c. To provide employment and work experience in rural areas / public setting and increase
employability of HRH with enhanced clinical and preventive health management competencies

II. TYPES OF DEPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

Doctor to the Licensed Doctor 24 Provides clinical services (or

Dentist Licensed Dentist 17 Provides dental health services to

Nurse Licensed Nurse 16 Conducts home visits and simple
medical services
Medical Licensed Medical 15 Provides laboratory services to

Midwife Licensed Midwife 8 Conducts home visits and
midwifery care
UHCI Implementer Licensed of four (4) year 15 Assist in the implementation of
health related course health related programs at the
RHU/CHO
Public Health Any four (4) year health 12 Assists in the management of
Associate related course health related information
management system and logistics
at the RHU/CHO
III. Deployment / assignment of HRH shall be given preference to cover all barangays with priority on
the following criteria:

1. 5th and 6th class municipalities


2. Focus Geographical Areas (FGA)
3. Accelerated and Sustainable Anti-Poverty (ASAP) municipalities
4. Whole of Nation Initiative (WNI) municipalities
5. Geographically Isolated Disadvantaged Area (GIDA)
6. Identified municipalities with Indigenous People (IP)
7. Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Municipalities
8. High poverty incidence

IV. Requirements for application to the DOH Deployment Programs

2. Updated Resume with photocopy of updated PRC license (if applicable)
3. Application Form (available in “Downloads”)
