Our extensive review of the public affairs issues regarding pest

control products has led us to conclude that, in order to success-
fully deter the efforts of the misguided environmental movement,
the Golf Course Industry must immediately ...
• Cease focusing on the ineffectual I.P.M. as the solution to golf public affairs problems.
• Clearly provide scientific facts that explain why golf chemicals are definitely minimum-risk.
• Denounce biological-natural-organic pest control as almost ineffective and non-existent.
• Develop a fully transparent and publicly accessible data base for right-to-know information.
• Directly and actively support litigation launched against the Ontario pesticide prohibition. We wish to
• Embark on a massive public relations campaign to stop a national pesticide prohibition. thank « Force
• Explain why some of golf chemicals are prohibited by other nations, but not in Canada. of Nature »

• Plan for the inevitable loss of Ontario & Quebec golf exception status in three to five years. report would
• Provide the public with information supporting the idea that I.P.M. may reduce pesticides. not have been

• Scientifically define and publically discredit the misleading term « Organic Golf Course ».
• Strongly address and discredit the imidacloprid, chlorothalonil, and 2,4-D misconceptions.
