CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2008-170

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND

HEARTFELT CONDOLENCE OF THE PEOPLE OF CABADBARAN
CITY TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF THE LATE ROSARIO
MALBAS AMANTE, FORMER MAYOR OF CABADBARAN CITY,
AGUSAN DEL NORTE.

WHEREAS, former Mayor Rosario Malbas Amante, one of the

most virtuous mayors of the then Municipality now City of
Cabadbaran hailed as the crown of givers, wife of Honorable
Congressman Edelmiro A. Amante and mother of great political
leaders, at a ripe old age, had finally rested in peace on the 19 th
of October 2008;

WHEREAS, as matriarch of the Amante Family, Sayong was a

true woman of character, grace and substance, who was one of the
first of a generation of women to break away from traditional roles;

WHEREAS, Mayor Rosario M. Amante in private and public life

was a true follower of Helen Keller, mother Theresa and other great
women of history, loved and respected for her honesty, self-
abnegation and unflinching and patriotic devotion to the welfare of
her people;

WHEREAS, the virtues and example of Mayor Sayong will

always be engraved in the minds and hearts of the officials, leaders,
citizens and future generations of Cabadbaran City and will inspire
them in their high resolve to promote the honor and well-being of
Cabadbaran City and the nation as a whole;

WHEREAS, the Cabadbaranons will miss her more. They will

miss a kind of friend, a caring sister and an understanding wife to
her husband Congressman Edelmiro Atega Amante, and a caring
mother to her children Governor Erlpe John & Judy, Raden & Adjet,
Angel & Rash, Tina & Arnie, a loving grandmother to Ines Rosario,
Juan Miguel, Francis Denise, Andrea Rosario, Linus, Titus, Jose
Kristian, Nathan Gabriel, Jorge and Rasheed, who will live inspired
by her life’s example.

NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the 1st Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its
56 Regular Session assembled, to express deepest sympathy and
th

heartfelt condolence of the people of Cabadbaran City to the

bereaved family of the late Rosario Malbas Amante, Former Mayor of
Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to give a copy of this Resolution to

the bereaved family of the late Hon. Rosario M. Amante, Cabadbaran
City, Agusan del Norte for information.
