Facility Features:

 Competitive pool: Ten-lane high performance 50 m pool with springboards, platform

dive towers, and spectator seating for 750 people
 Warm-up pool: Six-lane, 25 m pool
 Family pool: Starts at zero depth – includes a shark slide, two water bucket trees, a
bubblers, a yellow mushroom foundation, water rapids, and two hot tubs. Features a
150 foot waterslide!
 Hamm Fitness Centre: Two-level fitness centre includes cardio theatre, treadmills,
elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, stair climbers, rowing machines, weight machines,
and a variety of free weights and fitness equipment
 Hamm walking track: Three-lane, 165 m track for walking and light jogging
 Two community Gymnasiums: Fitness classes and activities, public open gym times,
various sports equipment
 Multi-purpose room: Spring fitness floor for a variety of classes
 Change rooms: male, female, and 12 family change rooms with showers and bathrooms
available
 Nordic Fencing Playground: Accessible outdoor playground located nearby to the west
of the facility
 Hamm Multi-Purpose Fields: Multiple outdoor sports fields surrounding the facility

Workspaces:

 Common area: a common area with tables and seats is available at the entrance of the
facility

 Western Fitness Refueling station: Concession area designed to service both schools and
the public

o There are flotation devices (life jackets, foam noodles, mats, etc.) available for
those who cannot swim
o Consider using the shallower end for group activities with those who have
troubles swimming in mind (embarrassment or ridicule could be present for
those who rely on floatation devices in the pool)
