primary source. It is real footage of Gandhi’s satyagraha. I wasn’t able to put it on my

website, but I got a look at what it looked like when they were marching.

Feb. 2018. This source is primary because it contained a newspaper article that had was

announcing Mahatma Gandhi’s death. It explained how Gandhi was assassinated and

more about his life.

Rarenewspapers.com is a great website to get newspaper clippings about all the things

that were happening in India.

a lot of information.

source provided some basic, detailed information on the Salt March. It offered why the

Salt March happened and what it was. The website also talked about the details of when

Gandhi produced the salt.

Gandhi: A March to the Sea​. Two Lions, 2013. This book was a helpful source that expanded on

Mahatma Gandhi’s march. It was a great starter source to get basic information.

History.com is a helpful website. On this site, I was able to get lots of specific details on

the Amritsar Massacre. It also had the reactions and feelings Gandhi felt about the British

after General Dyer performed the foolish act.

gave me information on the Salt March, which is my topic. This website was the first site

that I came across that explained the compromise well.

February 2018 I got a lot more information from this source. It gave specific information

and had exact numbers on the number of followers in the beginning of the march and the

number of miles they covered in a day.

Newsela has a plethora of articles and primary sources about Mahatma Gandhi. This

article was about the significance of Gandhi’s nonviolence to protestors today. The

website gave examples of protests that have occured in the U.S., protests against racial

and economic “injustices”. This source was helpful for my historical significance page.
