Assembly

It is defined as the process in manufacturing which consists of all operations from input to
output for final use. Some assembly operations are fastening, inspections, labeling, or
packaging etc. Assembly operations are dependent because it involves various stages. Non-
assembly operations are independent which has no stages like grinding, welding, or
machining.

The advantages of assembly in manufacturing process are as follows:

1. It eliminates the unskilled workers and save time. A skilled worker can perform his
work more precisely.
2. It is easier to understand about the breakdown in the process.
3. The production will increase.
