● Sierra Middle School (2-8)
● Primarily Self-Contained ED History and Math
● 11 Male Students
● Class average reading/writing ability: kindergarten
and 1st grade
● Majority ELL students
● History of behavior problems, aggression, violence

Topic: Reflections, Translations, Rotations

Group 1: Mrs. Houck with one student
Group 2: Jorge (assistant) with two students
Group 3: Mackenzie and Lauren, with two students
Overview of Class Procedures
1. Introduce Mackenzie to the class
2. Lead teacher sparks background knowledge using Tangrams
3. Modeling is done
4. Activity sheet is distributed and students are broken up into different groups
a. Groups are broken up based on: behavior history, academic history, willingness to learn
At Our Station
● Conquered teaching with a one on one approach
● Worked through activity sheet introducing, teaching, and mastering the
content
Next Time...
● Need more preparation of lesson
● Better understanding of behavior control for individuals
● More intriguing lesson
● Provide better background knowledge
