There is an app called mHotspot, which is a better option than Connectify. The app is completely free, easy to install and use. Unlike
Connectify, it doesn't disconnect every 30 minutes, so you get uninterrupted access. As for the firewall or antivirus in your computer,
mHotspot doesn't get blacklisted like Virtual Router Plus.

I have installed connectify and created the hotspot, my android phone shows that the wifi is connected but I am unable to access
the internet through phone. My internet connection type is pppoe which needs username and password to login. 

I am also using Ubuntu OS and have created wifi hotspot using the ap­host command line. I can access the internet with out any
issue with the same connection.

Kindly let me know does connectify supports the pppoe connection.

Try the command based sharing in windows OS....the netsh command in elevated mode

Instead of buying this software and going through this long process just download Virtual WiFi Router its a free version and doesnt
disconnect for every 30 min.'s
