Grammar Review:

When to use “Has” and “Have”:

Polly has a drum.

Polly and King have drums.

In the first picture the noun (Polly) is in the singular.

There is only one person. So we use the verb 'has'.

In the second picture the nouns (Polly and King) are in the plural.
There are two (more than one) persons. So we use the verb 'have'.

The conjugation of this verb is the same as in the Present Simple.

When to use “There is” and “There are”:

Use “There IS” for singular nouns (one item)

Use “There IS” for non-count items (group nouns)
