Significance of the Study

This study designed to provide important information which would be a significant reference and

will benefit the following:

School Administration. This study will serve as an instrument for the institution to realize its goal

of developing graduates who are not merely globally competitive in their different fields of expertise but

who are also aware of their responsibilities towards the society.

Barangay Officials. This study will help Barangay Officials to fulfill their duties as public servants

by helping them in organizing and making of a contingency plan to have a systematic way of leading

people when disaster comes.

Residents of Barangay Poblacion. This study aims to educate the residents of Barangay

Poblacion to be fully aware of the necessary first things to do when there is a flood. The implementation

of this development plan will help reduce the casualties, if ever there is, in the community.

Accountancy Students. This study will enable Accountancy students who would be professionals

in the future to be equipt with knowledge in disaster awareness that would also be helpful in their own

communities.

Future Researchers. This study will also benefit those who are interested in conducting similar

research which will serve as their guide.
