A
number of participants at
the Qatar-US Economic
Forum lauded the event
and the projects presented there,
highlighting the importance of
the discussions held among the
participants.
They stressed that the forum,
held in Miami, Florida, allows
businesspersons from Qatar and
the US to review mutual invest-
ment opportunities to enhance
business ties and economic co-
operation among the two coun-
tries, the Ministry of Economy
and Commerce (MEC) said in a
statement yesterday.
Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad al-
Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to
the US, said the importance of
the ongoing US tour lies in the
fact that it will create new com-
mercial and trade ties between
the two countries, and also fos-
ter new partnerships and op-
portunities for co-operation and
investment that will reflect the
strength of Qatar-US relations.
He noted that Qatari busi-
nesspersons can benefit from
the tour and the economic forum
through the joint meetings held
with US businesspersons, and Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad al-Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to the US.
