 How  to  Make  SIS/Aspen  Account  
1.   Open  an  Internet  browser,  type  
sis.mybps.org  in  the  address  bar  and  press  
enter

2.  Click  “Create  an  Account”    buKon  on  the  login  
screen.

3.  Click  “I  am  a  parent  new  to  Aspen”  opMon  and  
click  Next.

4.  Enter  the  security  code  you  were  given  in  a  
leKer  from  BLA.  This  code  can  only  be  used  
once.  Please  call  the  main  office  with  any  
quesMons.  Enter  your  last  name  as  it  appears  on  
the  leKer  and  click  Next.

5.  Take  a  minute  to  review  personal  informaMon  
listed  for  your  account.  In  parMcular,  ensure  that  
the  email  address  listed  is  one  that  can  be  
accessed  regularly.  Then  press  Next.

6.  Ensure  that  your  email  address  listed  is  
accessible  regularly.  This  email  will  also  act  as  
your  login  ID  to  the  SIS/Aspen  portal.  You  can  
use  the  security  quesMon  to  reset  your  
password.

7.  Click  “Create  Account”  and  you  will  immediately  have  access  to  your  child’s  
grades,  aKendance,  and  tesMng  informaMon.  Please  contact  your  student’s  
Guidance  Counselor,  listed  below,  with  any  further  quesMons  regarding  the  
material  listed.    
 
 
 How  to  Use  SIS/Aspen  
Once  your  account  is  created  there  are  many  
ways  to  make  use  of  the  account.    
 
Three  ways  BLA  Parents  o]en  make  use  of  the  
system  is  to:    
1)  Check  your  child’s  Daily  AKendance    
2)  Follow  your  child’s  Academic  Progress  
3)  Determine  your  child’s  Schedule    
 Delve  Deeper  into  SIS/Aspen  
 
 Advice  from  the  Guidance  Office  and  
Parent  Site  Council  
•  To  make  the  best  use  of  your  account:    
–  Try  to  follow  trends  in  your  child’s  grades  (Are  there  
parMcular  classes  in  which  your  child  really  excels  or  
struggles?  What  component  of  the  workload,  assessments,  
homework,  are  they  gebng  their  highest  and  lowest  
grades  in?  Working  with  your  child  to  understand  how  you  
can  support  them  in  the  home  is  o]en  an  effecMve  first  
step)  
–  Contact  your  child’s  teacher  if  you’ve  implemented  tools  
and  there  are  sMll  no  noMceable  changes.  The  teacher  
could  then  arrange  a  meeMng  with  you  and  the  counselors  
to  determine  next  steps  in  addressing  any  concerns.
