DIFFERENTIATION STRATEGIES Strategy 2: Differentiate by the task pupils are given

ACTIVITIES 1. Teacher asks the students to look at the handout given


to them.
2. Teacher asks the students to be in a group of four or
five and brainstorm the handout about pollution.
3. Students take turns to present their finding to the
teacher.

In pairs, students write about pollutions and the effect of it.

2. Writing an opinion
REFLECTION Students were able to brainstorm about pollution and able
present it to the class even though they still need some
guidance from the teacher. Most of the students were able to
write their opinion related to pollution. For 1 Din, they still
need a lot of guidance in order to produce 1 piece of good
writing but some can do it quite well.

mostly in Malay so the teacher needs to translate it for them.

ACTIVITIES 1. Teacher post pictures and flash facts for the students
to see. Discuss the beauty of the natural environment reflected
in the picture of the trees.

2. Teacher ask if forests exist in their hometown. Teacher


asks the students “Did you recycle paper?” “Did you recycle
other products?” randomly.

3. Students be in pairs and discuss how they reused items


and share their response to the class.

Students answer a handout using simple past form.

Evaluation / Assessment 1. Grammar related to environment

REFLECTION

The lesson turned out to be the grammar lesson without the


environment related topic. They were able to understand the
simple past and teacher were able to introduce present perfect
to the students as an extra.
