Welcome to the Revolution Athletics Family! We are very excited that you have chosen to join
us this season. Whether as a spectator in the stands, or an athlete on the mat, we believe that
you are a very important part of what we do and that is why we are proud to welcome you into
what truly IS a gym “Family!” Here at Revolution Athletics, we are striving to create a whole
new generation of Revolutionary Athletes. Our goal is to help your child achieve their greatest
potential, and set them up for success both on and off the mat. We believe in the importance of
teaching correct form and proper technique from the beginning, all the while encouraging
athletes to push past their fears, and stretch their limits, while maintaining safety at all times.
We want to create a positive and constructive environment that enables them to set and
accomplish goals, and allow their self-esteem to soar as they succeed. By breaking down the
basics, we encourage overall development. A skill taught without the proper foundation,
including conditioning, flexibility, strength, fitness, and technique, is just a skill... but by
educating the athlete, and encouraging dedication and hard work, we are building character
and athleticism, and THOSE skills will carry them forward into their futures!
Please carefully review all of the information provided. Every athlete must bring a completed
packet with them to assessments in order to participate.

Team placement is based on a number of factors including physical attributes such as tumbling,
stunting, motions, and jumps, as well as mental factors including maturity level, attitudes, and
teamwork. We do NOT set teams based on prior season placement, social agendas or requests.
If an athlete works hard and consistently delivers what is needed for another team they may be
asked to move teams or cross-compete.
Initial placements will be announced May 1st 2018. We do our best to place every athlete that
wants to become part of our program. However, if an athlete is not initially placed after
assessments, we will be contacting you directly to discuss an individualized plan that prepares
your child for placement in the future. We look forward to encouraging every athlete in their
journey towards placement and their Revolutionary All-Star career. Final Placements will be
communicated by June 28th 2018. Your athlete may have the opportunity to move up between
initial placements and final placements based on meeting skill requirements as determined by
the All Star Director.
1st of the month - Tuition is due. Any fees not paid in full by the due date will be assessed a
10% late fee of the balance and will be drafted from the card on file on the 11th.

dates and locations have been posted by the event coordinators.
All competitions are mandatory for every athlete. Competitions are subject to change at the
discretion of management and the coaching staff. We may add or remove events as we see
necessary to benefit the athletes in the long run by putting the teams in the best position to
have a successful season. Expect extra MANDATORY practices as we near competitions,
especially the two weeks leading up to each competition. If your athlete will not be able to
attend these practices, they may be off the mat for the competition.
Travel
It is your responsibility to reserve and pay for your room. We will communicate team hotel
information for each out of town competition but it is your responsibility to make the
reservations and pay the hotel directly. When traveling, all team members MUST STAY at the
hotel designated by the gym – Depending on the event (Stay to Play Rules) the hotel may be
appointed to our gym. Teams may be disqualified to compete if any team members do not stay
at the designated hotel.
Each athlete must have a chaperone at every competition. We are not responsible for your
athlete. There must be a parent in every room. No exceptions!

to participate in fundraising.

All-Star program.

pre- approved by Lisa.

your first line of communication regarding all information related to your respective teams.
After practice wear is received, athletes need to wear the appropriate practice wear as
communicated via the practice schedule – failure to do so will result in extra conditioning.

ceremonies.

Absences
Athletes are allowed 2 unexcused absences, none during choreography practices or two weeks
prior to a competition. More than 2 unexcused absences may result in an athlete being
removed from a team or the program.
Excused absences are as follows: contagious illnesses with a doctor’s note, a death in the family
or a pre-approved school function. Notify your coach immediately. Coaches should be notified
no less than 24hrs for scheduled events.
Please make sure that you clear all plans, including school and church activities with your coach
that may cause a conflict. These events are scheduled in advance and notifying coaches at the
last minute may result in changes in the routine or your athlete being pulled from a
competition.
Choreography and competition dates are MANDATORY. Plans for vacation are expected to be
made around these dates. *NO EXCUSED ABSENCES DURING THE 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO EACH
COMPETITION*
Illnesses
If your athlete is sick and not contagious, they must still attend practice. Failure to do so may
jeopardize their spot. If they are contagious, please contact their coach immediately and bring
in the doctor’s note to the next practice.
Injuries
Please remember that this can be a dangerous sport, injuries may occur. If an athlete is injured
outside of the gym please notify your coach immediately. Depending on recovery time we may
or may not readjust the routine to put your athlete back in.
Tardiness
Tardiness to practice will result in extra conditioning. Extra conditioning will be determined by
the coach and may require staying after practice to complete.
A lot of these may make you laugh, but please remember the point behind each. Much of this is
from Cheer Twisters but they apply across the cheerleading world, not in just one gym
▪ If you can’t check your diva at the door...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you were on a level last season and automatically think you should move up to the next
level this season...this might not be the gym for you. There is nothing wrong with spending a
few years at a certain level. Leveling up is based on your hard work, consistency and the
discretion of the coaches.
▪ If you throw a full and think that makes you a level 5...this might not be the gym for you.
Just because you have a certain skill does not mean that you are a certain level; there are a
number of factors to consider.
▪ Parents, if you don’t have an email address...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you don’t check your email regularly...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If your child gets moved in a routine and the first thing that comes to your mind is that you
need to have a “talk” with the coach...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you do a stunt private and you think that makes you a flyer...this might not be the gym for
you.
▪ If you don’t want your child to condition...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you think that you should be running the mat...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you are reliving your childhood through your child now...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you feel the need to have a sit down with the coach, or Lisa, at the end of every
practice...this might not be the gym for you.
▪ If you think that you are a doctor but don’t have the initials to back it up...this might not be
the gym for you.
▪ If you are a psycho-over-the-top cheer parent...this is definitely not the gym for you. We
encourage you to support your athlete and their teammates, however, remember that the kids
are still learning!
▪ If you have a concern about your child please talk to their coach. Please request a time to
speak to the coach privately and not during practice.
▪ You must have your athlete to practices, competitions and other events on time or they will
be held accountable and have extra conditioning assigned
▪ Practices may be added or changed at any time and last minute changes are inevitable and are
a part of the competitive nature of this sport.
▪ The coaches or RA staff may close practices at any time without notice.
▪ Parents, siblings, friends, athletes hanging-out, etc., must sit in the stands, they are NOT
allowed on the gym floor.
▪ CHECK YOUR DIVA AT THE DOOR! Gossip about athletes or other members of the RA Family is
detrimental to everyone.
▪ No profanity or abusive language is allowed - EVER.
▪ Communication is a must! Please check your email regularly and use the Remind 101 system.
Please see the Front Desk if you are not receiving the texts and/or emails.
▪ Withholding an athlete from practice or competition affects the entire team, please find
another form of punishment.
▪ We are a family! This means at competitions we all support each other and will be required to
watch other RA teams at such events.
▪ Parents, friends, athletes, etc., are NEVER allowed to speak to competition judges. If you have
a question/issue, see your coach.
▪ This is a revolt! We truly are a Revolutionary Gym and Family. We support other teams and
don’t speak ill of other gyms or athletes, we are raising the bar for cheerleaders and our sport
everywhere.
▪ Logo/Name Usage. All use of Revolution Athletics, team names or other references must be
approved by Lisa. All sales involving name or logo must go through Revolution Athletics.
▪ No one is allowed to share choreography, music, routines, etc. Any distribution may be cause
for removal from the team and/or the gym. Out of courtesy for other gyms, please do not share
theirs either.
▪ Your attitude matters. If you are excessively negative or disrespectful to other athletes,
coaches, etc., your child WILL be asked to leave the program.
▪ Team Moms are the primary contact point for your athlete’s team. If RA changes the team
mom for any reason, the team will be notified.
▪ Athletes may be dismissed during the season for failure to adhere to the RA code of conduct,
policies and procedures as outlined by Revolution management.
▪ Finally, because of our commitment to Christian values, ethical principles, and creating an
elite program, we will not tolerate the use of illicit drugs or alcohol, period! Therefore, RA
reserves the right to perform random drug testing as deemed necessary. Failure to comply will
result in immediate dismissal from our program. Your athlete’s safety and well-being is of the
highest importance to us.
▪ You are Revolutionary! We expect this to reflect in your behavior inside the gym, outside of it,
and online as well.
▪ You are an athlete, not the coach, if you have a problem with something, see your coach
AFTER practice.
▪ You must be on time to all practices, competitions, warm-ups and other events. This means
fully ready to go at the designated time and place.
▪ Practices may be changed or added at any time, stay on top of your schedule.
▪ Parents, siblings, friends, athletes hanging-out, etc., must sit in the stands, they are not
allowed on the gym floor.
▪ CHECK YOUR DIVA AT THE DOOR! Gossip about athletes or other members of the RA Family is
detrimental to everyone, including your team and yourself.
▪ No profanity or abusive language is allowed - EVER.
▪ If you are sick/injured, you need to be at practice watching, learning, and supporting your
team.
▪ Ditch the phone - all phones must be placed in the phone bucket before practice starts. No
food or drinks permitted on power bar and NEVER on the floor!
▪ Practice wear. Wear it! This is your responsibility, do not be surprised when you are asked to
condition for not being dressed appropriately for practice. Please label all personal items,
Revolution Athletics is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
▪ All items, bags, purses, etc., must be kept in cubbies.
▪ Food & Drink. If you are at the gym for multiple practices or classes you are responsible to
feed yourself, please be prepared.
▪ RA will not tolerate the use of illicit drugs or alcohol – period!
▪ Finally, because of our commitment to Christian values, ethical principles, and creating an
elite program, an athlete may be dismissed from the team at any point during the season if
they fail to adhere to any and all of our policies and procedures including the code of conduct.
Therefore, RA reserves the right to perform random drug testing as deemed necessary. Failure
to comply will result in immediate dismissal from our program. Your safety and well-being is of
the highest importance to us.
I authorize Revolution Athletics to use my name, statements and likeness, without charge, for
promotional purposes and publications, advertising, video, web, new media, or other formats.
We do our best to ensure that you are aware of ALL fees and costs for the program up front
and are not being “nickel and dimed” throughout the season. The All Star dues for the season
cover the following…
*Required items not included in pricing structure: Competition uniform, competition bow, bag
and warm-ups. You will be responsible for all costs involved in traveling and staying at
competitions. Should your athlete’s team receive a Summit/Worlds Bid, additional expenses
will be incurred.
Discounts
If you would like to pay for the entire season in full by May 1st, a 10% discount will be applied.
Access fees will be discounted for siblings. The second athlete in your family will pay a monthly
access fee of $100 and a third athlete will pay a monthly access fee of $50.
An initial fee of one month’s tuition is a contractual agreement between the participant and
Revolution Athletics for the duration of the season. This fee will be applied to the last month’s
tuition of the season. If the participant does not complete the program or in any other way fails
to fulfill this agreement, this fee will be forfeited.
A credit or debit card authorization form must be on file. Monthly fees will be drafted from
the account on file the first of each month. Any fees not paid in full by the due date will be
assessed a 10% late fee of the balance and will be drafted from the card on file on the 11th.
Post-dated checks will not be accepted to avoid late fees. If your account is 30 days past due
your athlete will not be able to continue to practice with their team until account is current.
They will be on the “sit-list” and will be required to sit through practices. If within four weeks
of an upcoming competition, their spot may be forfeited for that competition. If your account
is 60 days past due your athlete will be asked to leave the program and any outstanding
balances not paid in full will be sent to collections.
By signing this page and packet, I agree that any and all payments are due by the dates listed
in the packet. I understand that although fee schedules are broken down for my benefit, I do
not get to pick and choose what my payments are applied to and when. I further understand
I will not receive any apparel, uniforms or be registered in competitions if my account is not
current. Finally, I understand that any and all payments are non-refundable and non-
transferable.
