In the new requirements on speed data transmission, a new

UTP category has launched on market in the first months on this
year, this new UTP Cable is the category 8 that type of UTP
cable is in order about Gigahertz, in preliminary studies the
bandwidth of this UTP is around 40 GB/s, but the only cons is
the effective distance in this case is only for 30 meters.
In this paper I explain main characteristics about UTP cat.8,
as we know all UTP cable are on a shield cable protection, UTP

cat.8 will required shield cabling, the most common on
construction are 22 AWG S/FTP cabling and also on this cat.8,
we have 2 different types: Class I and Class II. In the experiments on 2012 for IEEE investigators have the

bandwidth around 25 GB/s for 30 meters, different for Class II
that is on non-RJ45 connector with a bandwidth around 40 GB/s
for 30 meters. [1]
In another pro for cat.8 is supply power for example if the
case on data center the supply power is the same if we use a
10GBASE-T.
Other con for cat.8 is the use only for 2 transmission channels
versus Cat.6 and Cat.7 with 4 channels each one in this case that
maybe consider a con for cat.8 until for new relaunched for this

In this paper, we collect measures that present in the
