It is on of the top steel producing companies globally with annual crude steel deliveries of

27.5 Million tonnes (in FY 17) ,an the second largest steel compay in india (measured by
domesticproduction with an annual capacity 0f 13 Million toones after SAIL.

Tata staal has manufacturing operations in 26 countries including Australia,China, India, The

Netherland , Singapore, Thiland,and the United Kingdom , and employs around 80,500

people . Its largest plant located in Jamshedpur ,Jharkhand . In 2007 Tata steel acquired the

UK based steel maker corus. It was ranked 486th in the 2014 fortune global 500 ranking of

the world biggest corporations .It was the 7th most valuable India Brand Of 2013 as per Brand
finance.

Its capitive raw material resources and the state-of-the art 4.9 Million tonne per annum plant

at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand state, India gives it a competitive edge. With the acquisition of

corus Tata Steel has become the 5th largest steel maker in the world. Soon the Jamshedpur

plant will expand its capacity from 4.9 mtpa to 7 mtpa by 2008 .The company plans to

further enhance its capacity , manifold through organic growth and investment .In associated

/subsidiaries constitutes about 24 Million mtpa making its total capacity about 29 mtpa which

is the 5th largest in the world. Out of the Steel business comprises a flat products, long

products ,RM division , CSI division Shared service constitue 85% of ots business. The rest
