Abstract

The transition from primary to secondary education

is a major ecological shift that poses considerable
social, emotional, academic and organizational
challenges (Mandy, et.al., 2015). In fact, it is a
major life experience for both pupils and their
families. For majority, this is a time of widening
horizons and growing independence (Sutherland, et.al,
2010).

This research aims to provide knowledge about

challenges to the future grade 11 who will undergo
transition. It will benefit students; teachers;
parents and; future researchers. The research design
the used in this study is Phenomenology. The research
locale is at Grade 11 building Eduardo L. Joson
Memorial High School located at Bertese, Quezon, Nueva
Ecija. The respondents of the study are 10 students in
each section of Grade 11. The sampling data procedure
that will be used is Simple Random Sampling. The
research instrument that will be used is Interview
Guide.
