As the team has come together, this season has been very promising for a successful con-
ference play and for future post-season play. Your Cowgirls are ranked, as a team, in the top
5, 10, and 50 in various categories. In these polls we are compared to teams in Power Five
conferences, a feat very few teams in The Southland have accomplished. We are incredibly
proud of the team and individuals who have made the short list. We will continue to raise
our standards as a program and keep our goals focused on success!

Alumni Update
On the Autumn evening of September 16, 2017
Senior 2014 defender and nursing graduate
Cheyene Ganely married Austin Harley in the
beautiful country side of Maryland. The cere-
mony transpired along a green meadow, calm-
ing pond, and breathtaking sunset. It already
began lightheartedly as the ring bearer road his
tractor tricycle down the aisle. Moments after,
the gorgeous bride walked slowly toward the
gazing, joyful eyes of her groomsman. Her fa-
ther greeted and hugged her at the end of the
aisle as he presented her to her groom. Guests
congratulated the two of them as they took up
their marriage vows together, followed by a deli-
cious barbeque dinner, dance, and outdoor
games.

Senior 2014 Cowgirl Allison North-

cutt was a bridesmaid in the wed-
ding. This is her 3rd wedding to be
in from the 2014 senior class. (She
was Haley Lyons - McAnelly’s maid
of honor and a bridesmaid for Ama-

traveling difficulties that Hurricane
Harvey brought, one more 2014
Senior Cowgirl, Krista Steinbeiser,

to attend the wedding. Krista and
her mother were privileged be able
to see at first hand the simply beau-
tiful ceremony with the numerous
blessings being poured out upon
the newly wedded couple.
