All applicants will audition one of the following: April 19th, April 20th, and April 21st (auditions
are closed to the public). Applicants will perform their song for a selected panel of EC Idol
audition judges. The panel will chose final contestants to go on and compete in the actual
competition on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 @ 6 pm.
A panel of local celebrity judges will be present at the LIVE competition to evaluate and find
our Emerald City Idol. Each vocalist will sing one song for the judges in front of our LIVE
audience and a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner will be chosen by the judges and announced.

Prizes. The prizes for the winners are as follows:

1st place- $300 AND a $100 dollar donation to your school music program
2nd place- $100
3rd Place- $50
The winners shown above will also be performing on the Main Stage at the Oz-Stravaganza
festival on Sunday, June 3rd. That is when we shall award the prizes.

Rules & Regulations

Ÿ Auditions are open for students in 7 – 12 grade.
Ÿ This competition is only for VOCAL performance.
Ÿ All songs should be MEMORIZED at the audition.
Ÿ Contestants may only perform as soloists.
Ÿ Judges decisions are final. This applies in both audition and final round.

Ÿ There will be AUDITIONS on Thursday, April 19 , 5:30pm-7:30 pm at the Manlius Library, Friday,

April 20 , 5:30pm-7:30 pm at the Morrisville Public Library, and Saturday, April 21 , from 11am-2pm at
the Chittenango branch of the Sullivan Free Library
Ÿ Contestant will supply a karaoke version of their song for finals.
Ÿ In order to be considered to compete in this event, contestant MUST be available on all rehearsal
and show dates.
Ÿ The WINNERS will be performing their winning song on the Main Stage at Oz-Stravaganza on
June 3, 2018 at 11 am. Checks for the winners will be awarded at that time.
Ÿ This event will be held on the stage in the Chittenango High School Auditorium.
Ÿ Name/Image/likeness of winners may be used in publicity for event/festival without further
consideration.
