PROCEDURE
Introduction
As they come in from changing: Tic Tac Toe Relay race  gymnastics version (10 minutes) 8:35-
8:45
The game will be set up the same. Pinnies will be used to place in the hula hoops to try and get 3 in a
row.
The difference is how they are required to travel to the game board.
1st round – the students will be asked to travel to the game board by skipping.
2nd round – the students will be asked to travel to the game board by bear crawling
3rd round – the students will be asked to travel to the game board by cartwheeling.

The focus will be on how traveling effectively is important for gymnastics. How you need to move
with control and with fluidity to be effective. – FOCUS on control NOT speed.
Expectations for Learning and Behaviour: Be safe and in control when you are travelling!

Accommodations:
Low-Management Time: Mats are ready for work period and balances
Transition to Body: bring everyone in and have them each bring a mat (set them up like previous
days)

Body

with flexibility and stress management/relaxation.
Students will be doing a teacher led Yoga ‘class’ to tie that into gymnastics and to flexibility.
Assessment/ differentiation:

Learning Activity #3: Group Project Work time (remainder of class) 9:00-1:12 // 9:42-9:54

Their routine must:
