students to persist through many difficulties. Students had complete autonomy when choosing a project. To many, this seemed daunting; they would have rather been given a project that they know they could handle. This allowed them to practice remaining persistent over a long period of time. Throughout this process, students had multiple submission dates, which forced them to stick to the task, even when it grew difficult. I assisted them throughout the process by providing them with detailed feedback, and they re-submitted proposals as need be.
