Education Health

Typhoid fever continues to be a major health problem resulting in significant number of

children requiring hospi- talization. Public health interventions to minimize human car- rier
contact,safewatersupply,improvedpersonalhygienic measures including health-care behavior
strategies, typhoid vaccination, and rational antibiotic selection based on sen- sitivity pattern to
prevent resistance will help to reduce the morbidity and mortality of this global health problem.
