ACTIVITIES: I. PRE-LESSON
a) Pupils talk about the picture shown.

II. LESSON
Activity 1(group)
a) Pupils read silently a notice on a Clean-up Campaign (Form 1 new KSSM
textbook page 78 & 79).
b) Pupils answer questions based on the notice:
i. What is the notice about?
ii. What must we do to get rid of Aedes?
We must …..(refer to the objectives of the campaign)
iii. What do we have to do to keep the housing estate free from Aedes
mosquitoes?
We have to …… (refer to the division of tasks in the notice)

Activity 2(pair)
1. Worksheets are given. Pupils complete the sentences based on the discussion earlier.
Low (Handout 1a)
Fill in the blanks with “must/mustn’t, have to/don’t have to”.
Mid (Handout 1b)
With the help of the notes given, complete the sentences using modal verbs learnt.
High (Handout 1c)
Based on keywords given, write 5 do’s and don’ts using modal verbs learnt.

c) POST-LESSON:
1, Pupils prepare a poster to create awareness on the dangers of dengue using modal
verbs learnt (homework).
