A well rounded person has interests well beyond those needed for their employment. We encourage you to look for learning beyond your
degree topics. These might include courses, lectures and workshop or independent study in areas such as The Arts, Social Sciences, Sport or
IT. For example you might
● take up painting
● undertake a course in philosophy
● learn a musical instrument
● join a drama group
● attend lectures on Medieval history
● join the soccer club.
You must set yourself goals to achieve in this additional area of learning in the same way you set goals for your XL Competencies and your
degree course.
*Priority Rating:
1. Main priority. Identified by the student as their key area to work on. Students should have short-term goals in which they undertake
activities. This should be the main point of reflection at the end of the year.
2. Secondary priority. Identified as an area in which they need some development. Students should have medium-term goals for which
they actively seek to participate in opportunities as they occur in to develop this area.
