Before You Begin •

Part I: iMac Processor Removal Procedure:


Estimated time: 20 min

1. Shut down the computer. Unplug all 2. Set the computer, screen down, on a

17. Pull the metal snap on either side of the 18. Pull the RAM DIMM out. If there is

Part II: Upgraded Processor Card Reinstallation Procedure:


Estimated time: 20 min

+ Small magnetic Flathead screwdriver


Medium magnetic Philips screwdriver

1. Remove upgraded Processor Card from 2. Reinsert the RAM DIMM(s). Snap into

3. Reseat the Upgraded Processor Card. 4. Snap into place.

5. Place the heatsink on the processor card. 6. Reattach the heatsink clip. Make sure
that the heatsink is firmly held in place
by the clip.

OS X Users
If you are running OS X, we recommend
reinstalling your OS.

During the installation process certain


files and libraries specifically made to take
advantage of the G4 chip are installed upon
detection of a G4 processor. If OS X was
installed before being upgraded, these files
were not included. To get the full benefit of
19. You may now restart your computer. the G4 chip, reinstallation of OS X is needed.
Your G4 Upgrade is now complete and
your computer is ready to use. We hope you enjoy your G4 iMac Upgrade

FastMac’s limited warranty: This product is warranted by FastMac.com to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one
(1) year from the date of purchase by the Purchaser.

Purchaser’s sole remedy under this warranty shall be, at FastMac’s sole discretion, refund, repair or replacement as provided in this
warranty. FastMac’s warranty shall not apply to any failure or defect caused by misuse, abnormal use, neglect, abuse, alteration,
improper installation, unauthorized repair or modification, improper testing, accident or causes external to the product such as
but not limited to excessive heat or humidity, power failure, or surges, or improper installation, or damage arising from improper
packaging during transport; and damage resulting from causes, including without limitation, lack of technical skill, competence, or
experience of the user.

FASTMAC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH
OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, DOWNTIME,
GOODWILL, DAMAGE TO OR REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, REPROGRAMMING, OR

ANY PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR MAKE A PRODUCT EXCHANGE WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR DATA. Some

Non-defective purchases which are returned to FastMac must be returned within thirty (30) days of purchase. For non-defective
purchases which are returned or refused by the Purchaser, FastMac will, at its discretion, issue a credit or refund for the purchase
price of the goods, less all shipping charges incurred in the shipment and a restocking fee of no less than fifteen percent (15%) of
the price of the goods.
