With climate change being a major issue that faces our planet, we need to find more solutions to reduce greenhouse gases and planting more trees in Pennsylvania would be a good first step. Currently, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has implemented a program called TreeVitalize. This program aims to restore tree cover in Pennsylvani and educate the community about the benefits of planting more trees. They do this by providing grants to develop and sustain urban forestry programs in communities across the Commonwealth, I think the two of you have some great ideas on how to combat deforestation and to make Pennsylvania more green. | also have a couple of bills that work towards making Pennsylvania eco-friendlier. For example, | have introduced legisiation for Pennsylvania to become more reliant on renewable energy and another bill that creates a fee for using plastic bags.
