Generating Device in School Aged Children with Autism, the authors explore the
increase in research advances pertaining to technology for speech generating
devices (SGD). One speech generating devices that is emphasized is the iPad.
Children with autism are helped by SGD, seeing as it increases intraverbal
responding. A multiple baseline across responses is the design that is used with the
study. The autistic children responded best to the iPads.

In the article, The Collected Works of L.S. Vygotsky, the authors go into depth
about human psychology. The age group that is focused on in this article starts at
early childhood and goes all the way to adolescence. There are two sections of the
volume, which has to do with before Vygotsky’s lifetime and after his lifetime.
Specific concepts that Vygotsky’s work brings to light are the social and cognitive
determinants of change. Biological and psychological processes are discussed as
well.
