3. Instructional Strategies Proficient You worked with a small group during math on
/ L3 graphing while other students worked independently
at their desks on a variety of activities. You modeled
how to graph information based on student responses
and then each student graphed the information on
his/her personal graph. Students working
independently were actively engaged in activities on
ten frames, graphing, and counting objects.
5. Assessment Strategies Proficient You monitored progress of students in your group and
/ L3 on several occasions when you circulated around the
room. The paraprofessional also helped support
students and check for understanding.
8. Academically Challenging Proficient Students were actively engaged whether working with
Environment / L3 you or working independently. Transitions were quick
and smooth as you used cues for gaining students'
attention such as clapping, "hands on top... everyone
stop"; therefore, learning time was maximized. Some
students were working on an extension activity in
which they created and then wrote about a gingerbread
trap.
