    DIVINE CONSCIOUSNESS

    1)  Chapter 2- Slok 12 : In fact there was never a time when I was not or when you or these kings were not. Nor is it a fact that hereafter we shall all cease to be.

    2)  Chapter 2- Slok 13 : Just as boyhood, youth and old age are attributed to the soul through this body even so it attains another body. The wise man does not get deluded about this.

    3)  Chapter 4- Slok 6 : Though birthless and immortal and the Lord of all beings, I manifest Myself through My own Yogamaya(Divine Potency) keeping My nature(Prakrti) under control.

    4)  Chapter 4- Slok 7 : Arjuna, whenever righteousness is on the decline, unrighteousness is in the ascendent then I body Myself forth.

    5)  Chapter 4- Slok 8 : For the protection of the virtuous for the extirpation of evil doers and for establishing Dharma(righteousness) on a firm footing, I manifest Myself from age to age.

    6)  Chapter 5- Slok 24 : He who is happy within himself, enjoys within himself the delight of the soul and even so is illumined by the inner light(light of the soul), such a Yogi(Sankhayogi) identified with Brahma attains Brahma who is all peace.

    7)  Chapter 6- Slok 30 : He who sees Me(Universal Self) present in all beings and all beings existing within Me, he is never lost to Me nor am I ever lost to him.

    8)  Chapter 6- Slok 31: The Yogi who is established in union with Me and worships Me as dwelling in all beings as their very Self, whatever activities he performs, he performs them in Me.

    9)  Chapter 7- Slok 4-5 : Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, reason and also ego-these constitute My nature divided into eight parts (refer attached annexure-1). This indeed is My lower(material) nature; the other than this, by which the whole universe is sustained, know it to be My higher(or spiritual) nature in the form of Jiva(the life-principle), O Arjuna.

    10) Chapter 7- Slok 6-17 &19 : Arjuna, know that all beings have evolved from this twofold Prakrti and that I am the source of the entire creation and into Me again it dissolves(6)

    11) There is nothing else besides Me, Arjuna. Like clusters of yarn-beads formed by knots on a thread, all this is threaded on Me.(7)

    12) Arjuna, I am the sapidity in water and the radiance in the moon and the sun; I am the sacred syllable ‘OM’ in all the vedas, the sound in ether and virility in men.(8).

    13) I am the pure odour(the subtle principle of smell) in the earth and brightness in fire; nay I am the life in all beings and austerity in the ascetics.(9)

    14) Arjuna, know Me to be the eternal seed of all beings. I am the intelligence of the intelligent; the glory of the glorious am
