A lesson must

1. Have a combination and constant variation of working modes:

 Frontal work;
 Brainstorming;
 Pair work;
 Group discussion;
 Individual work.

2. Have 80% of students’ talk and 20 % - teachers’.

3. Have logical transitions from one activity to the other. Bridges.

4. Have some elements of intrigue, provocation, game.

5. Have plenty of additional materials, handouts , visual aids

6. Have stimulating and energetic beginning and positive and optimistic ending.

7. Include acknowledgement of students’ achievement. A teacher should constantly

evaluate and encourage the students with the help of praise, competitions, personal

motivation, and analysis of students’ mistakes.

8. Be communication – oriented.

lesson should include revision of the previous material.
